The pictures makes me want to go and try the place…

Great space management… that was my first thought as I entered into this little haven.
The interior décor is welcoming. It has a touch of classic yet its contemporary. And it looks more like an extended kitchen as I was sat right in front of some shelves containing cooking utensils.

Welcome to this small yet cozy Italian restaurant, tucked in the middle of KL City Centre.
My first thought lingered. The floor-to-ceiling shelves were stocked with bottles of wines, herbs and kitchen utensils - very elegantly and tastefully displayed.

For a moment, I forgot I was there for dinner. The waiter was waiting patiently for me to finish snapping my pictures before passing me the menu. Aaah… courteous service – extra points…
I always enjoyed good interior designs, so, this is definitely one of those that I would give props for, or is it just my biased notion towards all things “country and vintage”? Ok, I am biased.
But, I would not say this place represents fairly the authentic Italian décor (even though they call themselves the authentic Italian restaurant).

Why? For one, they don’t have the combination of red, white and green color – the Italy’s flag, in any of their furnishings. To me, the décor that best represents Italian should at least have red chairs, white tablecloth and the red checkered napkins. Ok, so I can be quite stubborn about being “authentic Italian” if I want to, right?
Still, the ambience exudes romance and coziness as all Italian restaurants are often known for. For that, I would give an “A” for my overall experience in this place.
Yes, the restaurant has a name. Neroteca.

My recommendation: A great place to hang out with close friends on special occasions.
How about the wine and food? I shall leave the reviews to another day. As of now, it is suffice to say they are doing a great job in that department too!
