Heading south, five and half hours flight from Kuala Lumpur, and two hours drive from the airport I landed, I arrived to a world of jarrah, karri eucalypt forests, vast farm lands, world-renowned wineries and some of the world’s finest beaches. If one is looking for an unusual and beautiful natural landscape, this is the place to go - the South West of Western Australia.

A true old saying, a picture speaks a thousand words, but in this instance, these pictures failed to do justice to this awe-inspiring place. Still, pictures are better than words. I struggled to choose which to show here. Alas, I picked those that inspire me personally more than the shots that would made to a travel book.

Bunbury, the capital and commercial centre of the South West.

Did you see the house? My Australian friend, Courtney built this house in his farm – he literally did it with his own hands in a span of five years. If this is not amazing, what is?

Sheep, loads of them. Courtney owns 4800 sheep.

I always get inspired by well-kept gardens. This is one of them that I found in the neighborhood of Eaton – the place that I stayed most of the time.

But the best gem to top them all is this beautiful couple – Kevin & Marisa Gardiner. The primary reason why I headed to South West twelve days ago. Love you, guys…you are the best!!
